An exciting program celebrated its second anniversary – the GMC’s first IVF unit, and the birth of its first 50 babies!
The guest of honor was the Minister of Health, Rabbi MK Yaakov Litzman, who approved and budgeted the opening of this much needed service. Other guests on hand for the celebration included Raya Strauss Ben-Dror, president of the Friends of Galilee Medical Center, Dr. Massad Barhoum and MK Zoheir Bahaloul, along with proud parents of the first babies born at Galilee Medical Center’s new IVF unit. The relatively new IVF unit is equipped to perform a wide variety of fertility treatments for men and women, including micromanipulation, freezing of eggs, fertility preservation, embryo freezing using sophisticated technologies, etc. Built according to the highest standards, the IVF Unit includes state-of-the-art equipment, and provides the world’s most advanced technological capabilities necessary for fertility treatments for a large population right in their own community.
