We welcomed a delegation of American security professionals including police and firefighters, and homeland security and criminal justice students, who are visiting the country for a first-hand look at Israel’s approach to defense and homeland security. We briefed them on our hospital emergency protocols and our around the clock preparedness for Mass Casualty Events (MCEs). Amir Fischbein, our Chief Security Officer, shared his expertise and experiences, and discussed his department’s activities combatting daily violence, responding to all kinds of emergencies, and readiness for war.

During a tour of highlights of our facilities, Amir Fishbein presented in-depth insight into our unique infrastructure including Israel’s first underground hospitalization facility and our fully protected Emergency Department. The International Affairs Department coordinated and led the visit — another valuable opportunity to share Galilee Medical Center’s best practices with the broader global community.
