In his acceptance speech Dr. Barhom said, “This honor belongs to each of Galilee Medical Center’s 2,700 employees. It is a tribute to their ongoing professional and compassionate hard work since 2013 that has aroused tremendous appreciation among all exposed to it including President Reuven Rivlin, who recently visited our medical center as well as many others in Israel and around the world. ” The inscription on the award reads, “An innovative pioneer in the provision of medical care, including to refugees from war, you have been a relentless, outspoken champion of the inalienable rights and infinite dignity of all people.”
