Gaillee Medical Center is excited to celebrate the opening of the new Irving and Cherna Moskowitz Heart Center and Unit for Brain Angiography. Among the many guests at the official opening ceremony, were the Deputy Minister of Health, Rabbi Litzman, son of our generous donors, Irving (zl) and Cherna Moskowitz, Rabbi Daniel Moskowitz, president of the Friends of Galilee Medical Center, Raya Strauss Ben-Dror, Mayors of the local municipalities, Religious leaders and many other distinguished guests. Rabbi Litzman thanked the Moskowitz Family, and shared how critical their support has been. Because of the hospital’s location in the periphery, this type of generous support benefits those who need it the most.
The new state of the art Cardiology Department is fully protected against conventional and non-conventional war fare. It has been ranked first in Israel for the last three years for survival rates following a heart attack. The project was fully sponsored and led by the Friends of Galilee Medical Center. Other generous contributors to the new department are Raya Strauss Ben-Dror, the John Hagee Ministries in San Antonio, Eagle Mountain Church in Dallas, Zimmer Family Foundation and the Ministry of Health.
