Dr. Samuel Tobias, born and raised in Mexico City, immigrated to Israel with his family in 2011.
In March 2013 he was invited to become part of the team led by Prof. Jean Soustiel to establish a new Department of Neurosurgery at Galilee Medical Center. Dr. Tobias has been actively involved in treating Syrian nationals with very severe traumatic brain injuries.
His main practice includes skull base tumors, pediatric neurosurgery, spine surgery and neurotrauma, and he sits on our Trauma Advisory Committee. “I’m fulfilling my dreams of being a neurosurgeon, living in Israel and contributing to the country with my expertise in neurosurgery.”
Dr. Tobias sits on GMC’s Trauma Advisory Committee and since September 2018 serves as Co-Chair of the Medical Task Force for the Jewish Agency’s Partnership2Gether Western Galilee / Midwest Consortium / Budapest Program.
